Nichole - Dirty H if you're nasty

Sooooo much better than the one that came before it. Super sexy, super likeable hero, relatable heroine, really original plot. (And great sex, of course.)

The main characters have great arcs, and you actually see them falling in love. The love story isn't forced or rushed, it's perfect and believable. Yes, it's a soul mate book and yes, there's a lot of running and pursuing, but it doesn't feel like a soul mate book. It feels like two people falling in love, which is what I think most people are looking for in a romance novel.

Cole's books have a lot of personality, and that is present here in spades. A particular highlight is Riora, the goddess in charge of the Hie. She's great. And Regin, of course. Always a favorite. :)

Glad I suffered through the first book to get to this one; it was worth it, and I'll continue reading the series with more enthusiasm.
