Formatting issues aside, this was a very enjoyable read. Very different from anything else in the genre.
My only real niggle was some POV issues. I don't have a problem with whatever POV technique an author chooses. Third person omniscient is fine with me - but it has to be consistent. This book was 95% third person limited to Chulito, but then there was a paragraph here or there that suddenly switched to Carlos or even the guys on the street. Threw me for a loop, since these didn't start happening until well into the second half of the book.
