This book started out really, really good. I liked Charlie, I liked Booker, I liked the writing, I liked the setting, I liked how they met and how they came together. I thought I was going to love this book.
And then in the second half it just devolved and became utterly ridiculous. The story, the dialogue, the everything. I was very disappointed. I thought it would end up being a 3 star read - that the good start would balance out the rough second half - but it got so bad I had to demote it to 2. Bummer. I'm not giving up on the author, though. I'll try more of her stuff before I form a final opinion.
